Get involved in your community! Make new friends from your own and other cultures, share peer support, and explore the region around UFV. We have lots of opportunities for you to enjoy yourself, enrich your university experience, and help others learn with you.
The Global Citizenship Committee (GCC) administers the Global Citizenship Grant. We are students who work together to choose recipients whose goals and plans reflect UFV internationalization goals. We are led by the Coordinator of Global Engagement and Contract Training.
The En Route program connects international and domestic students for fun and fascinating off-campus adventures. The day trips include visits to natural settings, warm-weather and cold-weather sports, seasonal events, city tours, and local attractions.
Friends Without Borders (FWB) is a 10-week intercultural peer support program that builds social and cultural connections for students. The program is designed to provide a supportive community for UFV students to connect globally, pursue intercultural learning, and build meaningful connections.
The Global Lounge is a welcoming and comfortable space for conversation. It is a centre of diversity, cross-cultural exchange, and respectful debate of ideas and views. It is a great place to study, hang out with friends, attend an event, or simply drop in for a break.
The STEP Café is a weekly drop-in to help international students. Get answers to questions about different parts of student life, including:

CLIMB Guides are student leaders who help incoming international students navigate the process of UFV orientation. It is a great opportunity to get valuable experience, build skills, and make new friends. New students value the opportunity to hear your first-person insights into the UFV experience!
