Are you a new international student looking for support and connection? Or a returning student eager to help others succeed while building your resume and developing your leadership and intercultural skills? Bridging Borders is for you.
Bridging Borders Mentorship Program pairs experienced students (mentors) with first-year international students (mentees) for a fun, supportive, cross-cultural learning journey. Over a semester (4 months), through monthly one-on-one meetings and bi-weekly group sessions, participants will build community, develop intercultural competency and leadership skills.
Program Format:
- Program starts: September - December 2026
- 1-on-1 Mentor/Mentee sessions: 1 hour a month
- Group sessions: twice a month
Who Can Join?
- Mentors: UFV Students who are 2nd year or above, want to increase their intercultural competency, build their resume and develop leadership skills
- Mentees: UFV 1st-year international students at UFV looking for support, connection, and community.
