International Student Orientation

Welcome new international students! 

The staff at UFV International are pleased to welcome you and many others like you from over 75 different countries to British Columbia, Canada and our UFV community. We want you to start your #FarFromOrdinary journey right, by attending our International Student Orienation (ISO), made just for you! Learn the essentials of being a UFV student, and get the chance to meet our team as well as your fellow peers.

Latest updates

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and British Columbia’s requirements for physical distancing, UFV's International Student Orientations (ISOs) will be held online until furthur notice. We are working hard to create fun and interactive virtual activities for you to participate in, and also learn valuable information for taking online classes at UFV. 

Fall 2020 ISO

Intended for new international students who are starting their studies in September 2020. Discover services available to you including immigration workshops and student support, as well as build confidence in using myClass/Blackboard, the online learning platform where your classes will be held.

Your orientation will be live on myClass/Blackboard Wednesday, September 09, 2020 starting at 10:00am (PST) and will end around 1:00pm (PST). From wherever you are in the world, log in on your phone, tablet or computer.

September 14, 2020

Soon we will begin sending out our pre-arrival communications to your UFV student email. If you do not receive any emails, please contact international@ufv.ca, include your name and student number. 


International Online Check-In

This semester, you will be checking in online using the provided form below. You are required to submit the documents prompted by the online form as soon as possible.

Failure to submit your documents may result in you being dropped from your courses.  Refund policies will apply if you do not submit your documents by the date mentioned above.
