There are three main UFV accounts that you need. They are:
- myUFV: Your student services hub
- myMail: Your official UFV email account
- myClass: Your online learning platform
Set these up in the order they are listed, starting with myUFV.
What you need
Have your student ID number ready. Look for your ID number in your Letter of Acceptance. It is on the right side of the page, just above the first paragraph.
1. Set up your myUFV account
Set up myUFV before you set up myMail or myClass.
What is myUFV?
myUFV is the portal to UFV student services including:
- Registration (you are automatically registered for your first semester)
- Your schedule of courses
- Personal information
- Campus announcements
Log in to myUFV for the first time
- Go to the myUFV Login Assistant page. Your username is your student ID number from your Letter of Acceptance.
- You will receive a password reset email at the personal email address you used to apply to UFV.
Note: If an agent applied to UFV on your behalf, you may not get a password-reset email. If you do not get one, check with your agent to ensure you are using the correct email. - Follow the instructions in the email, and make sure you keep a record of the password you choose.
- After you create a password, you can log in to myUFV and start exploring.

Download the app on Google Play for Android or from the App Store for iOS.
2. Set up your myMail account
Set up myUFV and log in before you set up myMail or myClass.
What is myMail?
You have an official UFV student email address through myMail, which uses Outlook and Exchange Online. All communication from UFV is sent to this email address, not to your personal address. You must use your UFV address to communicate with us, for example, if you email any staff or a professor. Remember to check your inbox regularly to ensure you do not miss anything important.
Log in to myMail for the first time
*You can find your UFV student email in your myUFV account dashboard.*
Log in to myMail with:
- Username: Your UFV student email address is your username
- Password: Your myUFV password
Your UFV student address is formatted as Firstname.Lastname@student.ufv.ca. For example, Mary.Smith@student.ufv.ca. If you have a common name, there may be a number added to the address, for example, Mary.Smith1@student.ufv.ca.
If you need additional help, start with our IT Knowledge Base for UFV student emails.

What is myClass?
myClass is your online learning platform. It uses Blackboard software, also known as BB or BBL. You can use it on your phone or tablet from anywhere in the world to:
- Attend live classes that are delivered online.
- Access your course content.
- Complete your assignments, tests, and quizzes.
- Participate in group discussions.
- Get your grades.
For the best experience, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to attend live online classes.
