COVID -19 TRAVEL TO CANADA: Travel Support Letter

UFV has been included on the Government of Canada’s list of Designated Learning Institutions (DLI's) with an approved COVID-19 readiness plan. Inclusion on this list permits international students who are currently outside Canada, regardless of where they are travelling from and regardless of when their study permit was approved, to travel to Canada to study.

Students travelling to Canada must provide UFV with their travel details and comply with Canada's mandatory Government pre-travel and post-arrival requirements. Although not a requirement, some students may still be asked to show a Travel Support Letter by airlines before boarding their flight.

To request a Travel Support letter, you must:

1. Be registered for the Fall 2021 semester;

2. Complete the Travel and Quarantine details form.

Download iCent App and submit your UFV Quarantine Plan. 

  1. Download the iCent app (available at the Apple Store and Google Play Store). If you are unable to download the app, visit the iCent web app
  • Select "Canada" as your institution country.
  • Select "University of the Fraser Valley" as your institution name.
  • Enter your UFV student email and confirm that it is correct. You will receive an email with a secured PIN to log in. (Visit The Essentials page to learn how to log into your UFV student email if you are unsure.)
  • Enter the PIN and press "continue."
  • Complete your profile.
  • Find the "Mandatory Forms" icon and fill out the UFV Quarantine Plan form.
  • NOTE: Travel Support letter will be emailed within 5-10 business days.
