Your Semester

We know that a lot goes into the semester and there are many things that you need to keep track of in order to be prepared for your semester.

1

Important Dates and Deadlines

There are a few dates that you need to be mindful of as you approach the start of your semester.

Make sure you know the dates and deadlines for:

2

Your Courses

UFV International (that's us!) registers you in your courses so there is no need to worry about registration for your first semester. The first thing you should know is that your courses will be conducted in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), which is based on UFV's location and not the time zone you are in, if you are still overseas.

Accessing your schedule

You can find your semester course within myUFV.

  1.  Log into my.ufv.ca and find the "Self Service Links" section.
  2. Click on the following headings in order: "Student Information" then "Registration" then "Student Schedule."

Instructional Methods

UFV has recently defined four different instructional methods, and the majority of courses will declare what their instructional method is so students are fully aware of course expectations at the time of registration.

OLO - Online Only. No Meeting times.
OLM - Online with Scheduled Meeting times.
HYB - Blended; A mix of in-person and on-line instruction.
TRD -  Traditional Face-to-Face delivery only.

Kerstin Stausberg

UFV is awesome! It provides small classrooms for better student and prof interaction. You can get involved in clubs and associations. And if you have any problems, there are always helpful staff members who will support you.
