Your Semester

Being a univeristy student comes with more freedom and responsibilty if you are attending for the first time, right after high school. We know that a lot goes into your first semester so we want to remind you of a few things that you should keep track of as you prepare.

Important Dates and Deadlines

There are a few dates that you need to be mindful of as you approach the start of your semester.

Make sure you know the dates and deadlines for:

Your Courses

UFV International (that's us!) registers you in your courses for your first semester. UFV and your courses always use Pacific Time (PST/PDT) even if you are still overseas.

Accessing Your Schedule

You can find your semester course within myUFV.

  1.  Log into and find the "Self Service Links" section.
  2. Click on the following headings in order: "Student Information" then "Registration" then "Student Schedule."

Instructional Methods

UFV has recently defined four different instructional methods, and the majority of courses will declare what their instructional method is so students are fully aware of course expectations at the time of registration.

OLO - Online Only. No Meeting times.
OLM - Online with Scheduled Meeting times.
HYB - Blended; A mix of in-person and on-line instruction.
TRD -  Traditional Face-to-Face delivery only.

Your Program

There are a few resources to help you navigate your program and its requirements. We highly encourage you to get familiar with them and stay on track with your studies.
