Short-term training & study tours

UFV International offers short-term programs that are individually planned to meet the requirements of your group's participants. Using the facilities and professional staff and faculty available at UFV, training programs can be custom-designed to meet the special requirements of different groups, in a wide variety of career and interest areas, such as teaching, administration, business, English, agriculture, trades, and more.

We invite you to experience Canada's beauty, heritage, and traditions and actively participate in all parts of the program from sightseeing to classroom activities.

Short-term training and study tours offered:

Teacher training

Learn about Western approaches to teaching methodology, instruction, and curriculum development at the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels.

Senior administration training

UFV’s senior staff share their expertise in North American education practices and outline how to work with North American partners.

ESL and cultural immersion study tour

Designed for students, this two- or three-week tour combines ESL instruction (TOEIC prep available) with local activities and tours. This is an unforgettable experience!

Business Executive and Golf Academy

Access to state of the art swing analysis equipment, executive golf courses, and Business courses.

Intensive ESL training and program-specific terminology

A multi-level, multi-discipline intensive ESL program with subject specific terminology training.

Advanced wood-frame construction technology

Designed for trade instructors, builders, and architects, this program covers energy efficiency techniques, materials, and building science for constructing wood-frame homes.

Specialized programs

UFV offers customized programs in ESL, arts, science, health, business, hospitality, agriculture, trades, and more.
